Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 6,   Pages 91-96

Abstract: According to the discussion of the development course and the current situation of the air pollution treatmenttechnologies in China, the choke point of the research and development (R&D) pattern for air pollutiontreatment technologies is analyzed and a new technology development pattern is founded. The core of the pattern is multi-scales and system class simulation.Using this pattern, a new technology can be finally developed and made it maturity in a short period.

Effectiveness of quality of care for patients with type 2 diabetes in China: findings from the Shanghai Integration Model (SIM)

Frontiers of Medicine 2022, Volume 16, Issue 1,   Pages 126-138 doi: 10.1007/s11684-021-0897-7

Abstract: This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the quality of care of diabetes in Shanghai, China. A total of 173 235 patients with type 2 diabetes in 2017 were included in the analysis. Profiles of risk factors and intermediate outcomes were determined. The patients had a mean age of 66.43±8.12 (standard deviation (SD)) years and a mean diabetes duration of 7.95±5.53 (SD) years. The percentage of patients who achieved the target level for HbA1c (<7.0%) was 48.6%. Patients who achieved the target levels for blood pressure (BP)<130/80 mmHg and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-c)<2.6 mmol/L reached 17.5% and 34.0%, respectively. A total of 3.8% achieved all three target levels, and the value increased to 6.8% with an adaptation of the BP target level (<140/90 mmHg) for those over 65 years. Multivariable analysis identified the factors associated with a great likelihood of achieving all three target levels: male, young age, short diabetes duration, low body mass index, macrovascular complications, no microvascular complications, prescribed with lipid-lowering medication, and no prescription of antihypertensive medication. In conclusion, nearly 50% and one-third of the patients with diabetes met the target levels for HbA1c and LDL-c, respectively, with a low percentage achieving the BP target level. The percentage of patients who achieved all three target levels needs significant improvement.

Interaction behavior and load sharing pattern of piled raft using nonlinear regression and LM algorithm-based

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2021, Volume 15, Issue 5,   Pages 1181-1198 doi: 10.1007/s11709-021-0744-6

Abstract: In the recent era, piled raft foundation (PRF) has been considered an emergent technology for offshore and onshore structures. In previous studies, there is a lack of illustration regarding the load sharing and interaction behavior which are considered the main intents in the present study. Finite element (FE) models are prepared with various design variables in a double-layer soil system, and the load sharing and interaction factors of piled rafts are estimated. The obtained results are then checked statistically with nonlinear multiple regression (NMR) and artificial neural network (ANN) modeling, and some prediction models are proposed. ANN models are prepared with Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) algorithm for load sharing and interaction factors through backpropagation technique. The factor of safety (FS) of PRF is also estimated using the proposed NMR and ANN models, which can be used for developing the design strategy of PRF.

Developing China's Auto Industry Through the “CHERY” Pattern

Jin Lüzhong

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 9,   Pages 9-13

Abstract:

Only a few years since its founding, CHERY has not only developed 4 new style cars, part of which are exported, through its efforts, but also been the first car enterprise that establishes car joint venture abroad. That is the road for developing China's auto industry. The government should support such auto enterprises as CHERY, GEELY and HAFEI, which take the road of self-reliance development and proprietary innovation. Preferential policies should be given to them so that they can grow bigger and stronger.
